Edappal Hospitals Private Limited has become one of the largest institutions in the state with the bed capacity of 280 and has been approved by NABH in 2018. With specialized departments such as Gynaecology, Infertility, Fetomaternal Medicine, Paediatrics, Cardiology, Dental, Neuro, Ortho, ENT, Eye, Dermatology, Psychiatry etc, it is poised to become the most comprehensive health care institutions in north Malabar.

The first in vitro fertilisation centre (IVF) and fertility clinic of northern Kerala was launched in September 1996 as a project of Edappal Hospitals (P) Ltd, Edappal. In fact, it was the Infertility Division of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department of this hospital who did pioneering work in endoscopy and related fields which was transformed into CIMAR, when the IVF facilities were added. Naturally CIMAR became the leader in infertility treatment in northern Kerala.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had already unveiled the logo of the channel a year earlier during the centenary celebrations of Kerala Kaumudi.
