Vail - Born Free

Born Free is a ski trail of varying difficulties located at Vail Ski Resort. The trail runs from the Eagle's Nest Lodge and the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola (Lift #19) and the Pride Express (Lift #26) down to Lionshead Village and the bottom of the gondola. The trail begins to the slight skier's left of the top of the gondola, quickly passing underneath the gondola to the skier's right of the lift. The run begins as an intermediate trail, featuring a series of steep intermediate pitches and passing by the summit of the Born Free Express (Lift #8). After one final pitch parallel to the gondola and Lift 8, the trail turns to the right, and its rating changes to beginner. The run gently continues for a while before briefly turning back into an intermediate run after passing over the Bwana Loop traverse as it enters into a moderate pitch. The trail then mellows, turns to the right, and returns to a beginner rating, gently making its way towards Lionshead. The trail eventually merges with Simba and Bwana, passing over a bridge before arriving at Lionshead Village.

The resort is the namesake of its parent company, Vail Resorts, offering full Epic Pass holders unlimited access to the resort, with Base and discount pass holders receiving 10 days of blackout-restricted access to the resort.
