On June weekend, Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 765 pulled the Tri-state steam excursion from the town of Edon, OH across Indiana and into Michigan as part of the Indiana Rail Experience on the Indiana Northeastern Railroad. This year the train travel to Hillsdale, MI on Saturday and Jonesville, MI on the Sunday. We would chase the Jonesville trip considering the new mileage from Hillsdale. Also as a bonus we would see NKP SD9 358 make its excursion debut since its restoration.
