How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Thule WingBar Roof Rack on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Adding a roof rack system to your Tucson is gonna allow you to get more cargo area, especially if you load it down with passengers, vehicles this size, they don't have a lot as far as space for those bigger bulkier items. So having the WingBar is gonna allow you to use that negative space to get more of your items out there when you're engaging in your fun activities. Cool feature of the WingBar with these feet, you actually have a flush end. You trade off not having a tie down. However, it gives you a much cleaner look and you have an included plastic lock.

You can switch these guys out for Thule's lock core keys, and that way you'll be able to have a metal lock. But generally speaking, this is enough to secure it to the top of your vehicle. As far as the shape of your bar, you have a aero style. The wing bar implies itself, it kind of takes its shape from the airplane wing, and that's designed to help reduce the wind noise that you have as you're going down the road. We're gonna take our end cap off and take a look at our channel.

You actually have a 3/8 inch T slot that you're gonna be able to slide down. And the cool thing about it is having this wind channel, it allows you to not have those gaps that creates the whistle as you go down the road. If you take a look how we actually mount to our bar, you can see that it's contoured to match our raised rails. So once it's fastened down, you have a nice tight secured fit. And you can also see underneath that you have plenty of clearance for your rooftop accessories, like maybe a cargo box or a rooftop basket.

With our end caps stopping right here at the top of our vehicle, we don't have much overhang at all as far as to be concerned coming out of the vehicle. As far as from the top of the roof you're about 3-1/4 inch as far as height. And overall, you're gonna put about 4-1/2 inches to the height of the back of your vehicle. So just keep that in mind when you're loading up. Installation on this product is super easy and smooth and I'm gonna show you how to get it done.

So we're gonna start our installation by disassembling our towers and putting together our clamps. One of the cool things about the setup here, everything is in sequence. You have the A, B, and C part. So the first part of your clamp, the A, this is gonna slide right over this bolt here. Then you're gonna put your pad, B, onto the bottom and that's gonna hold the A clamp into place. So now you're gonna hook over the C clamp right here above A and allow that space for your bolt. And we're just gonna hand tighten for now our dual bolt. We're gonna take our foot and slide it along the channel for the track. And we're just gonna align this black tab with the hole here for the opening. It does take a little bit of prep, a little wiggling, but once you get it underneath, it'll slide right into position and you're gonna do the same thing on the other side. Our weather stripping is actually gonna come as a single point. You're gonna actually pull it apart like your favorite licorice candy and just divide 'em and then you're just gonna press 'em right into the track. You have arrows for the channels and you want the arrows to point towards the front, which is the curve of your wing. So it's pointing towards me and I'm just gonna place it over the channel and just press it in. Now that we have our channel strip pressed in, we're gonna place it on top of our vehicle. You're gonna need your tape measure to make sure you have the measurement for your minimum spread that's right around 26 inches here. The vehicle does not have fixed mounting points, so it's gonna give you a little bit of flexibility of where you position your kit. So I'm just gonna pla
