Riverway to the Sea hosts its first webinar, "Is Zionism fascist? What will judges think?"

Barrister and Co-Director of Riverway to the Sea, Franck Magennis, and anti-Zionist teacher and writer, Professor Alana Lentin, reflect on what fascism actually is, in particular drawing on the Black radical tradition, to locate fascism both politically and historically. They also probe the potential strategic benefits of highlighting Zionism's ideological alignment with fascism, both in and beyond the courtrooms of the UK.

The British authorities are carrying out a systematic campaign of mass targeting of pro-Palestinian protestors and activists, which has seen thousands of everyday people detained, arrested, persecuted and imprisoned solely for opposing the Zionist entity's war crimes and genocide in Palestine and the UK's shameless complicity in these atrocities.

Clarifying and exposing the indefensible ideological principles underpinning Zionism in UK courts and beyond, constitutes a key strategic aspect of defying the UK authorities' suppression of the pro-Palestinian movement. This will further advance the global momentum towards Palestinian liberation and self-determination which demands the
dismantling of the racist, genocidal scourge of Zionism for once and for all, as well as the entire edifice it rests upon.
