In our latest episode of our Under The Skin series, we focus on the locking plate being used in bridging mode.
This video was created with leading veterinary Orthopaedic Specialist, Gareth Arthurs. In this episode, we continue our series of plating demonstrations using the Dynamic Locking Plate (DLP). A DLP may be utilised in several different ways, with the ability to combine the strength and stability of the locking construct with axial compression using non-locking cortical screws, where clinically appropriate.
In this video, we demonstrate plating of a mid-diaphyseal comminuted fracture using a Dynamic Locking Plate in bridging mode, as part of a plate-rod construct.
