Since the discovery of X-rays by Wilhelm Rontgen and his first medical images, a lot of progress has been made. In this video, the most important moments in the history of Computed Tomography are discussed.
This video is part of the "Computed Tomography and the ASTRA Toolbox" training course, developed at the Vision Lab at the University of Antwerp, Belgium (http://visielab.uantwerpen.be).
The ASTRA Toolbox is an open source tool for efficient and flexible tomographic reconstruction algorithms. It is being developed at the University of Antwerp, Belgium and at the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
