I love the transformation of Ann Walker in season 2 of Gentleman Jack so much. She doesn't realise how much she has changed since she met Anne Lister.
Ann Walker was never one who dared to tell others what she wanted or desired. She was unable to find her voice. Her family wouldn't let her. Then Anne Lister came along. From the beginning she supported Ann. She made her feel seen and heard. That's how Ann began to blossom. It was never easy, and unfortunately it continued not to be for Ann, but she found people, Anne, who supported her. This is my little tribute to Ann Walker, beautifully portrayed by Sophie Rundle.
Unfortunaltely HBO cancelled Gentleman Jack, just one week after Pride month. Help us to continue Ann Walkers story. This woman, her story deserves to be told to the very end.
