I took this during our 1st post-deployment (Iraq) family Eurotrip in Dec 2005 to OP Alpha which was once part of the 11th ACR's area of operation for their Recon and Surveillance along the East-West German border as part of the NATO General Defense Plan. It has been preserved as a museum by the German Government. If you get the chance, there's a lot of information about this important peace of the history of the modern world.
