6-Year-Old Gets Rabies Shots After Bat Bite 😳🦇 | What Parents Need to Know

Today I’m sharing one of the scariest parenting moments I’ve ever gone through — my 6-year-old needed his first round of rabies shots after a bat bite at school during recess. I never imagined we’d be in the ER for something like this, but here we are… and I want this video to help other parents avoid this terrifying situation.

If your child is ever exposed to a wild animal — even if there’s no visible bite — it’s so important to get medical attention right away. Rabies is extremely dangerous, but the vaccine can stop it in time if you act quickly.

I’m sharing our story so other parents can teach their kids not to touch wild animals, even ones that look injured or harmless. If I can help even one family avoid this, it’s worth it. 💛
