Although I consider myself primarily a 2nd generation enthusiast when it comes to gaming, I was born in 1980 and therefore came of age during the NES years. But my parents never let me own an NES, so In the 40 years since it came to be, all my playing has either been at friends' houses or via emulation.
Well, I finally bought my very first NES in 2025. And after more than three decades of forgetting what it's like to play Super Mario Bros on original hardware, it's time for a sweet reacquaintance.
