The bonus loops are unlocked after playing the main 180 levels of the game. The first loop add a 6th common jewel to the mix, the second gives all boards the silver tile requirement, and the third loop supposedly adds a 7th jewel to the board, though good luck reaching that point.
I screwed up 5-10 big time once I got all special coins stuck on the left side. Fortunately, they give you quite some time to finish the board.
As for 1-1, it was luck. Six jewels and silver tiles are hell, I rally shouldn't have finished it that quickly. A tip for these boards: focus on the special coins and leave them in one easily accesible area, so that they don't get scattered or stuck. Get as many specials as you can, and pray that you won't get the dreaded "No More Moves" message, especially on tiny boards (looking at you, stage 4).
