April 26, 2022, marks the 200th birthday of the visionary recognized as the father of American landscape architecture, Frederick Law Olmsted. Known for designing New York City’s Central Park (1857) and Washington DC’s United States Capitol Grounds (1874), Olmsted’s crowning achievement was the landscape design of George Vanderbilt’s iconic Biltmore Estate (1895) in Asheville, North Carolina.

These informational signs celebrate the magnificence of Olmsted’s work at Biltmore, his final project, which stands as a living tribute to his genius.
