Today I'd like to tell you about one way you can save 10% on gift cards for Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and Celebrity cruises by using Allstate as your car insurance.

Allstate has a rewards program for safe driving called - Allstate Rewards
Allstate insurance has 2 types of rewards programs. Both of these programs do require a device attached to your car, that tracks how your driving is:

1) Allstate Drivewise - this program has unlimited driving miles. by practicing safe driving, you will earn rewards for driving less than 80 mph, not braking abruptly, and not driving between the hours of 11pm to 4am. Allstate will monitor your driving habits and may increase your rates if you do have too many incidents.

2) Allstate Milewise - this program is pay as you drive. There is a fixed daily rate plus an additional rate for each mile, then it becomes free after 250 miles for that day. Through our research if you drive less than 20,000 miles in a year, milewise would be cheaper. Rewards are earned exactly the same way as the Drivewise program. And the great thing is that Allstate will not increase your rates if you speed, brake suddenly, or drive late at night.

Now for the Rewards for safe driving.
On the Rewards website or app, you will use your points you've earned for your safe driving through Drivewise or Milewise. With the reward points, we can purchase 10% off gift cards for Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity.

For the Carnival gift cards, you can buy the retail $1000 gift cards for $900. Or buy the $500 gift cards for $450, for Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity. There are also $100 gift cards for $90 for both Carnival and Royal Caribbean. However, in order to buy these gift cards, you do need to reach those acquired points first, depending on the gift card.

How we earn points...
You already get 10,000 points for just signing up. Points are captured by our Milewise device. You can check your safe driving history online or on the app:

1) 200 pts for taking 10 safe trips with no sudden braking and no high speed events, over 80 mph
2) 200 pts for 3 consecutive days with no sudden braking
3) 200 pts for driving 3 consecutive days with no high speeds, over 80 mph
4) You get 50 pts daily, just for logging in your Allstate account.
5) Opt in Allstate's emails to receive promo codes for bonus Points

So for one month, my family averages 5000 pts for our driving trips, daily logins, and other promo codes from Allstate emails.

This plan works for us, for our Toyota Prius and GMC Sierra. We pay approx. $69/month for both our vehicles bc we drive less. It's like putting gasoline in the car, when it is close to empty, then we pay Allstate $69 to replenish our miles again. So it's a pay by the mile insurance program. This is our quote and everyone has different car insurance quotes depending on age, area, and driving history and habits. For Milewise, the coverage is the same as the traditional policy.

When you sign up, Allstate will mail your Milewise Device to your home, and you will need to install it in your diagnostic port. Very easy install, and you will see blinking green light. The device does stay in the car at all times.

Why we chose Allstate Milewise for our family and not the Drivewise program. My husband's work commute is 15 minutes and I'm a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM), so we estimate we drive less than 10 thousand miles a yr. Plus, Drivewise penalizes you, if they consistently see that you are driving over 80 mph and driving at late hours of the night. They penalize you by increasing your premiums.

For anyone that isn't enrolled with Allstate insurance and you think these reward programs are for you. You can call and talk to your local Allstate agent or you can set it up online. We recently bundled our home insurance with our car insurance, a year ago. In the past, it was cheaper to sign up online.
