There were 2 new shapes to me, that I used in this design. I loved the texture that the VOLOS par Puca beads brought to the piece and the subtle shaping of the PIROS par Puca really added the the 'sundial' element of the design - the 'spokes' of a sundial.
A small disclaimer before we go any further. I am and have been suffering from chronic insomnia for a long time now. The accumulative effects of this are really beginning to show themselves. In fact, it's been a long time since I filmed a tutorial because of this. So, please remember that I'm only human (well most of the time anyway ;-) ) and despite what you're watching taking me many days / countless hours to put together - it's not costing you anything to watch! If my occasional fumbling for words, or use of an incorrect word (I do correct myself most of the time), or error really bothers you that much, please don't be nasty, just scroll by!
This tutorial was filmed to go alongside a PDF tutorial that I have for sale in my Etsy shop. If you prefer to work from a PDF, you'll find the tutorial using the link below:

There are 2 different stitch techniques covered in this tutorial - Peyote Stitch and Herringbone Stitch. You'll find it beneficial if you already have a basic understanding of the 2 stitches as I don't dive particularly deep in to either of them in the video. If you'd like to brush up on either stitch before starting this design, you may find a couple of my tutorials, linked below, helpful:
