On an early winter morning, a pair of yellow-throated martens launch a ferocious attack on a langur. The pair of handsome hunters relentlessly harried the primate, striking at every opportunity. Unable to escape, the exhausted monkey occasionally attempted to defend itself, but was so badly injured it could barely walk. Did the monkey succumb to its injuries? In all likelihood, yes, but we can't know for sure as time restrictions forced the filming onlookers to leave the spot.
The yellow-throated marten is a member of the family Mustelidae. These animals are skilled hunters, and have a wide diet that includes squirrels, birds, snakes, insects, fruits, frogs and more! They are listed as 'least concern' on the IUCN Red List.
