Verse 1 (John 6:1–4)
Across the water to the other side
They followed Him for what they’d seen
Healing hands and opened eyes
Crowds rising like a wave
Up on the mountain He sat down
The feast day drawing near
Thousands moving through the grass
With hunger written clear
Pre-Chorus
He saw them coming
He knew their need
Chorus (big, soaring)
He gave them bread
He gave them life
From hands that never run dry
He gave them more
Than they could ask
Enough for every heart
As much as they wanted
As much as they needed
Verse 2 (John 6:5–7)
He turned and asked,
“Where do we buy
The bread to feed them all?”
He asked to test what Philip saw
He knew the plan all along
Philip said, “It would cost
half a year
To give them each a taste”
Pre-Chorus
What seems impossible
Is already known
Chorus
He gave them bread
He gave them life
From hands that never run dry
He gave them more
Than they could ask
Enough for every heart
As much as they wanted
As much as they needed
Verse 3 (John 6:8–10)
Andrew said, “There’s a boy right here
Five loaves, two fish in hand
But how could this be anything
For such a hungry land?”
Jesus said, “Have them sit down”
On the green and open ground
Five thousand men and more beside
Waiting without a sound
Pre-Chorus
Small in our hands
Enough in His
Chorus (bigger)
He gave them bread
He gave them life
From hands that never run dry
He gave them more
Than they could ask
Enough for every heart
As much as they wanted
As much as they needed
Bridge (John 6:11–13 — half-time, soaring)
He lifted the loaves
He gave thanks
And broke them open wide
He passed them down
Till every soul
Was filled and satisfied
When all had eaten
Till they were full
He said, “Gather what remains”
Twelve baskets left from what was given
Nothing wasted
Nothing lost
Final Chorus (full arena lift)
He gave them bread
He gave them life
Overflow before their eyes
He gave them more
Than they could ask
Grace without a price
As much as they wanted
As much as they needed
Outro (John 6:14–15 — restrained, reflective)
They said, “Surely He’s the One”
The Prophet long foretold
But He slipped away alone
Not taking earthly crowns of gold
(soft resolve)
The King who feeds us
Needs no throne
