Scooty Driving after 14 years being paraplegic!

4th February 2023, became one of the most memorable days of my life! I rode my scooty for the very first time after being paraplegic and wheelchair bound. I rode after fourteen (14) long years! That too with such ease, I never asssumed! I was a fit and fine man who used to ride cycle, bike scooty, play cricket and what not? But my MS took wrong turn in November 2009 after I joined the prestigious nationalised bank in Jan of the same year, while still being a first year MSc student at Kalyani university. Since then I never recovered. But I didn't lose hope. Every day I tried something better than yesterday. I continued my hectic bank job sitting in wheelchair, which cause severe bruises, pressure sores, septic and what not? I always tried to keep myself up. From 2011 to 2021, in the ten year duration I went under knives seven times! Near about once every year or two you may assume. And with all these, I carried on the responsibilities and work load of the prestigious Bank with flying colours for which I was nominated by my bank to the State Government of West Bengal as the Best employee award for 2021 and I received it from our honorable minister.
Though I was independent, having fulfilled life many wishes for but I wished for my good old days! I wished I could ride my scooty like my old days with my newly married wife cum inspiration pillion to me.
And finally the day arrived when I rode my chariot with my wife as pillion like the phoenix king!
