Very much in the "Sea Hunt" mode, the 1971-1972 syndicated TV series "Primus" starred Robert Brown (formerly of "Here Come the Brides") as Carter Primus, “a deepwater troubleshooter called upon to solve a vast array of situations,” as the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) recalls. “He relied on a variety of devices, including a robot, a curmudgeonly friend Charlie and the lovely Toni [Hayden],” played by Eva Renzi.
The clip above comes from the September 21, 1971, episode, “Deepest of the Deep,” which guest-starred Susan Oliver.
