Project Manager & Foreman Argue Before Big Mistake on Wall Build

The week starts with a call from Vince after the hydraulic hammer breaks down again on a rocky house site cut. It doesn’t stop the job, but it does force a shift in priorities. I head over to help Legend and Brandon lay out the site and talk through what they can keep working on while we wait on another machine.

From there, Vince calls with an issue on a different jobsite where the customer is asking for more than what was originally discussed. I call the homeowner to get clarity and end up heading to the site, where the berm build is finished and the crew is moving into tree planting.

While I’m tied up handling office work and getting things set up for the new year, Vince takes the reins in the field. The guys are working on road base at the campground development before moving over to a retaining wall build at the ‪@PriorityElectricandLighting‬ office to expand their parking lot. Vince and Legend butt heads on the plan, but footers get dug, block starts going in, and a mistake forces them to pull it out and start over.
