The History of Sega Video Game Consoles | The SG-1000 to Dreamcast

Let's check out the history of Sega video game consoles. Starting with the SG-1000 and ending with the Dreamcast, Sega made some amazing consoles through the years. From 1983 until 2001, they were Nintendo's antagonist. Both companies battled each other with Nintendo winning in the early years, and Sega taking over the console market share in the early 90's. Both companies worrying more about each other, not seeing a new competitor coming up, Sony and it's PlayStation, which eventually killed off Sega's Console division within 2 generations. So check out how Sega started in, conquered, and was eventually was defeated in the console market.

I excluded the Pico, it's more of a kids toy IMO. Sorry all you Pico Fan's. I will do an "A Look At" video on that in the future. Stay tuned...
