I bought a Derksen Shed that I am turning into my bow shop. I had some Ipe and Hard Maple that I wanted to make a longbow out of since my Hickory longbow doesn't like being in the rain when I'm out hunting. I read that it is on par with Osage and Yew when it comes to compression and is just as good when it is backed with another wood. So, this is my first bow made in my shop (rather than on my front porch....LOL).
