I bought this 65 year old Essex 12 inch fan quite a few years ago for $15, sold as 'not working' - so how hard could it be to get it going? This video covers the in-depth step-by-step tear-down, fault finding and rewiring of this glorious 'objet d'art'. To bring it into the 21st Century, I also added digital speed control.
