So a subscriber requested that I do this suburb. Established in the 1840 Oakleigh is located in the City of Monash local authority and is just under 15km from Melbourne CBD. The 2021 census show that Oakleigh had a population of just under 8,500.
Oakleigh is said to be Melbourne's Greek heart with heaps of family run eateries. The suburb is situated on the Aboriginal traditional land of the Warundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation.
