Beretta 92 Early Model

This early ‪@BerettaCommunity‬ 92 is a special one to me. It belonged to my father and he taught me to shoot with it. I am told that it is an early Beretta 92 and perhaps one of the first after the "step slide" model. However it does not have any import markings and very few identifiable marks at all. I'm hoping that knowledgeable viewers can help me identify what this pistol is. I called Beretta but they don't have records that go back when this pistol was made. I'm also in search of the original grips for this model. I look forward to you comments and assistance in figuring out this mystery gun.Thank you for stopping by and God Bless.
