Abbeyfeale Heritage Trail #5 of 11 – Daniel O'Connell ("The Liberator")
This video looks at the life of Barrister and Politician Daniel O'Connell, affectionally known as "The Liberator" and "The Emancipator", along with his connection to Abbeyfeale and in particular the once Leahy's Inn and Livery Stable from whose old Business Records and old Letters he is listed / mentioned on numerous occasions.
The Video was recorded over the Summer of 2023, and forms part of a set of 11 short Heritage Videos that look at the respective stories and historical aspects behind some of the Locations, Heritage Plaques, and/or Monuments that make up our Abbeyfeale Heritage Trail.
