Swanage Cycle: Cold Start, Purbeck Hills Climb & Vinegar Disaster | Travelsonabike2 S25 E29 🚲

Leaving the New Forest for the coast, I face a chilly, windy 42-mile ride to the Swanage campsite in Purbeck! (Travelsonabike2 S25 E29).

After a cold start requiring me to stop and warm my hands in the sun [00:03:03], I head out of the New Forest, through the rush hour traffic, and onto the *Bournemouth seafront cycle path* [00:13:36]. This section is a highlight, though it's covered in sand from recent rough seas [00:14:12]. The main challenge is the *Purbeck Hills* at the end of the journey. I manage to cross the Sandbanks Ferry, but carrying beer up the final hills feels like a mistake [00:19:02]! The day ends at the Langton Meadow campsite in Swanage with a total of *42 miles* covered, and a minor disaster: a broken vinegar sachet covering my kit [00:23:32].
