Wire Wrapping TUTORIAL - Mini Pendant using a single half round wire. Heady style wire wrap.
Learn to use a single 15 inch, half round wire to create this beautiful heady style wire wrapped pendant frame. This is a wonderful one wire mini pendant technique, but it's a bit harder than it might look at first.

NOTE: It has come to my attention that I should note, if you are using a stone larger than the one I'm showing in this video, please consider to add a couple of inches or more (depending on how large your stone is), so that you can complete the design. The cab in this video is 12mm height x 9mm wide x 5mm depth.

In this wire wrapping technique, you will learn how to create, what I call my Processus pendant frame. It's a continuous, one wire, flow to create both the frame structure and the design elements. I hope you have fun! Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of this style.

I'm using 15 inches of 16 gauge half round, half hard, sterling silver wire. Because the wire is larger, you can also use dead soft wire. You can also use 18g half round and a slightly smaller stone.
The cab is a sweet little Labradorite 12mm height x 9mm wide x 5mm depth.

Half round wire (for the newbie) is flat on one side and has a dome on the other side. Meaning this wire has a 'direction' that it needs to face all the time while you're building this pendant.

Half round wire is also a bit hard to bend on it's edge. It tends to want to turn on you during the curve, so sometimes, you need to keep it flat and facing the right direction.

NOTE: Until your wire passes your stone a few times, the stone will be very loose while working, so be sure to protect it and work over a pad and a well lit surface.
