I used PixInsight and Photoshop as the main software choices. You might also find the freeware Deepsky Stacker valuable for your work, although I find PixInsight to be the most powerful software available for image processing.

The amazing thing about astrophotography is that you can still create beautiful photos from light polluted skies. I captured this data from only handful of miles outside Pittsburgh, PA.
