WTXL's Terry Gilliam Jr. covers the controversial airport gateway project's proposed expansion. The Gateway project was originally slated to enhance Springhill Road, but after voters voted on the project, elected officials expanded the project to create a new road through low-income neighborhoods, to create a second, new proposed entrance to the airport. It was originally budgeted at $83 million dollars, but recent cost estimates are estimated to be upwards of $140 million dollars.
