About Detian Waterfall

Detian Waterfall is the largest waterfall spanning two countries in the world!
It is settled on the border of China and Vietnam and is next to Vietnam’s Ban Gioc Fall.

A visit to Detian Waterfall not only gives its visitors gorgeous waterfall surprises and also a mixed flavor of China and Vietnam but also marvelous Karst Landscapes that no inferior to Guilin and Yangshuo! Visitors usually visit it from Nanning.

Ranks as the largest waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest transnational waterfall in the world, Detian Waterfall is located in the Detian village, Shuolong Town, Daxin Coutny, Chongzuo City near Nanning City with its splendid scenery.

The Detian Waterfall is over 200 meters wide and has a drop of more than 70 meters. The average annual flow of the waterfall is 50 cubic meters per second, and the geology of the area is thick layered dolomite. Its water rushes down a three-tiered cliff with tremendous force. The fall is awe-inspiring, and its thunder is audible before it even comes into view.

When is the best time to visit Detian Waterfall? The best time to visit Detian Waterfall is from June to November every year, during which time the water is large and the water quality is clear due to the rainfall season.

It is the best time to enjoy the spectacle view of the waterfall. The Detian Waterfall has plenty of water in the summer and the surrounding vegetation is lush.

From December to May, it is a dry season. During this period, the amount of water in the waterfall is small, and the earth and stone in the waterfall are more exposed, and the viewing effect will be greatly reduced.

Mingshi Countryside, a celebrated landscape gallery, is near to the Sino-Vietnam border in Kanyu Town, Daxin County, some 37 kilometers to Detian Waterfall and 210 kilometers to Nanning- the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
