In this video, I respond to the ongoing discussions about Swordier’s SWMZ-1004 Type XVIIIc longsword. Thanks to valuable feedback from reviewers like @By-The-Sword and @Matthew_Jensen , we’ve made key improvements—especially reinforcing the tip of the blade for better strength, safety, and handling during cutting and practice.
I’ll also share details about our next project: a new Type XVIIIc medieval sword designed with greater historical accuracy.
At the same time, I want to speak about something more serious. Recently, Alex from Swordier has faced personal attacks, particularly from the Dynamo Sword Channel. Constructive critique of swords is always welcome—that’s how we improve—but personal attacks and attempts to damage reputation have no place in the sword community. Let’s keep the focus where it belongs: on craftsmanship, performance, and history.
⚔️ Swordier’s mission has always been to make functional medieval swords, accessible and true to their heritage. We stand by our work and we welcome honest, respectful dialogue. Together, we can keep swordmaking alive—not as a relic of the past, but as a living legacy for the future.
