This is a landscape acrylic painting inspired by a recent visit/photo mission to the beautiful village of Long Melford in Suffolk. The original photo was taken in the grounds of the Tudor Melford Hall in the village and has a commanding view over the village and the majesty of the Holy Trinity Church which dominates the skyline.
The painting presented its own challenges, namely painting a rare Syrian breed of sheep which dominates the foreground! I was pleased with the resulting painting however. I always learn something from every painting I produce.
