Turned a 2 3/4" Bowl from a 4 3/4" Blank

Welcome! I had what I thought was a nice Texas Persimmon blank. It turned out to be riddled with cracks. Yes, I know, I've never shied away from blanks with cracks, but those kinds of blanks take at least twice as long to turn as those that don't. This makes the turning, filming and editing process too long to be worthwhile.

So I've joined the ranks of those who believe it isn't worth turning crappy wood. For me, this does NOT include wormy wood. I will still turn those pieces if I find them interesting.
