The 2021 World Latin Dance Cup (WLDC) was held online due to the pandemic.
Our previous WLDC competition was in 2019 in Medellin, Colombia (see video here: • World Latin Dance Cup 2019 - Professional... ) where we came in 7th in the Professional On2 division. We decided to give the online competition a try, and started choreographing to the beautiful song “Clasiqueando con Rubén” by the Afro-Cuban All Stars.
Along the way we got to work with some of our favorite dancers & choreographers including 2X World Champion, Luis Aguilar, 2X World Latin Dance Cup Champion, John Narvaez, and the incredible Rodrigo Cortazar and Asya.
We competed in the competition using the WLDC app, and made it to the Finals of the competition, where we ended up placing 5th place.
Since we didn’t get a chance to perform the piece live, we decided to rent a stage a record a video of our performance. We hope you enjoy it!
