Learn how to make knives, by watching me make knives with cnc. In this episode of cnc knife making, I mill the bevels of a knife, I also show a sneak peak of my block jig for grinding bevels, to be showcased in a future bevel grinding video. First I rough in the bevels, using a 3/16 end mill, climb cutting; I work my way from the tip, down the bevels to the plunge. Next, I finish mill the bevels with a .375 taper mill. A Quick flattening, deburr, and check on the height gauge; ensures the half finished blade blank, remains flat, before machining bevels on the back side of the blade. The end result is a perfectly machined knife, with symmetrical bevels, and milled perfect plunges.
