Adultery:
Definition: Adultery involves a married person engaging in sexual relations with someone who is not their spouse.

Bigamy:
-Definition: Bigamy is the act of marrying another person while still legally married to someone else.

Article 349: "The penalty of prision mayor shall be imposed upon any person who shall contract a second or subsequent marriage before the former marriage has been legally dissolved, or before the absent spouse has been declared presumptively dead by means of a judgment rendered in the proper proceedings."
Concubinage:
Definition: Concubinage involves a married man cohabiting with a woman who is not his wife under scandalous circumstances or having sexual relations under certain conditions.

Article 334: "Concubinage is committed by any husband who shall keep a mistress in the conjugal dwelling or shall have sexual intercourse, under scandalous circumstances, with a woman who is not his wife, or shall cohabit with her in any other place. The concubine shall suffer the penalty of destierro."
Key Differences:
1. Adultery:
Specifically pertains to a married woman and her male partner.
Criminalizes the act of sexual intercourse outside the marriage.
The man must know that the woman is married to be culpable.
2. Bigamy:
Involves marrying another person while still legally married.
Focuses on the act of entering into a new marriage without dissolving the previous one.
Does not necessarily involve cohabitation or sexual intercourse.
3. Concubinage:
Specifically pertains to a married man and his female partner.
Criminalizes the act of keeping a mistress under scandalous circumstances, having scandalous sexual relations, or cohabiting with a mistress.
The mistress (concubine) also faces legal penalties.
