Did you notice this in Hazbin Hotel?

During season 1 we find out about vox and val’s interesting relationship. We find out that both of them have mind control powers, like val with his saliva and vox with his hypnotic eye.

One thing you might’ve missed occurs during episode 2. When vox and val are talking, val isn’t listening.

Vox tries to calm him with his mind control powers. This doesn’t work initially, Vox then has to turn up his brightness on his screen to make it work for Valentino. This is obviously works because moths are attracted to bright light.

This also explains why they work so well as a couple. Vox is the only character that isn’t charmed by valentino’s saliva since he’s a tv. So the relationship isn’t one sided. Val also finds vox attractive because of his bad eyesight, so he’s attracted to his bright light. This is why out of everyone val surrounds himself with, he likes vox the most.
