I advised on vegetable regulations and worked in the car part industry and this illustrates how diverse experiences contribute to skill development.

Pursue jobs that enhance your hard skills, even if they're outside of your dream industry. This approach not only builds a robust skill set but also fosters patience and confidence. It's about playing the long game, where building expertise in various sectors gradually prepares you for your dream role when it becomes available.

This strategy also involves having a 'side hustle' in the desired sector, continuously growing knowledge and skills in that area. When the opportunity finally presents itself, you'll be equipped with a unique combination of skills and sector-specific knowledge.
