This film charts the move by sculptor Dominic Welch to work at his home Ford Park, near Chagford in Devon, UK.
Messums are collaborating with Dominic to host an exhibition of his work in stone and bronze there from 10th May until 1st June 2025.

We learn how Ford Park was built in the 1890's with a remarkable artistic legacy to the property and grounds. It was designed by Robert Stark, himself a sculptor. Explorer Robin Hanbury-Tenison, tells how he knew Freya, Robert's daughter, the famous travel writer.
Meanwhile Nick Skeaping explains his father's relationship with Ford Park. John Skeaping was Barbara Hepworth's first husband, and sculpted a life size version of the famous race horse Hyperion, in the studio at Ford Park. This sculpture now stands outside the Jockey Club in Newmarket.
Dominic shares Ford Park with his partner Juliette Mills. She is a photographer & lover of horses.
Dominic lives and breaths his work. Every piece is exciting and with huge experience he embodies the stone with life. Dealer David Messum comes to visit. He describes how Dominic is at the top of his game, and that nowadays people will be drawn to visit Ford Park to see his work in its natural environment, where it's crafted. They will take in the beautiful environment at the same time.
