Hello Kitty Moso-mom’s Apple Pie ハローキティちゃんのお誕生日おめでとうアップルパイ

11月1日はハローキティの誕生日、ということで昔マクドナルドのハッピーセットのおまけで集めた キティちゃんのキッチンツールを使ってお菓子作りしてみました。何を作ろうかな～と考えたけど、やっぱりキティちゃんの大好きな食べ物、アップルパイしかない。ブラムリーじゃなくて紅玉だしキティちゃんママの作ったアップルパイにはかなわないけど、キティちゃんに捧ぐ アップルパイです。
レシピ
フィリング（ピンクジャム）を作ります
１．紅玉りんご 2個の皮を剥く。
２．実を小さく切り、塩水に入れてしばらくおく。皮もつけておく。
３．２の水を切り、鍋に入れる。レモン汁 大さじ1と砂糖110g（実の重さの30%）も入れ、ザッと混ぜる。
４．火にかけ、アクをすくう。
５．実が柔らかくなったら潰しながら10分ほど煮る。
６．お好みの硬さの少し手前で火から下ろし、冷ましておく。

７．解凍した冷凍パイシートを18センチの底取れタルト型に敷き込み、ピケする。
８．６から皮を取り除き、７に入れる。
９．上にパイシートをのせる。
１０．卵黄 1個分に水 大さじ 1を加え混ぜたものを塗る。
１１．200度に予熱したオーブンで焼く。焦げ目がついたら、温度を180度に下げ、全部で25分焼く。（我が家のオーブンで、200度 9分、前後入れ替え、180度で16分焼きました）
１２．できあがり。ミントの葉で飾るのもよい。熱々をバニラアイスクリームをのせて、ぜひ食べてください。家族に大好評でした！

Since November 1st is Hello Kitty's birthday, we tried making some sweets using all the Hello Kitty kitchen utensils that we gathered from McDonalds' happy meals back in the day. When we thought about what to make, it was pretty obvious there wasn't any other choice than Kitty's favorite food, apple pie. And while we can't do it just like Kitty's mama used to, this one is just for her.

Recipe

Making the filling

1. Peel off the skin of two Jonathan apples.
2. Cut the insides of the apples into small pieces, then soak them in salt water for a little while. Then add the skin too.
3. Drain off the water, then put the contents in a pan. Mix in a tablespoon of lemon juice and 110g of sugar (about 30% of the weight of the apples), then stir thoroughly.
4. Light up the burner, and skim off the scum.
5. Once the apples are soft, boil for ten minutes while occasionally crushing them up.
6. Just before it reaches your preferred firmness, turn down the heat, then afterwards leave it to cool off.
7. Take your defrosted pie sheet and place it in an 18cm open bottom pie tray, then gently poke some holes in the sheet with a fork.
8. Remove the skins from the crushed apples from step 6, then place the apples into the pie tray.
9. Place the second pie sheet on top.
10. Take a mixture of 1 egg yolk and 1 tbsp of water and spread it over the top.
11. Cook in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Once it starts to brown slightly reduce the heat to 180 degrees. Total cooking time should be about 25 minutes. (For our oven, we only needed to cook for 9 minutes on 200, then another 9 on 180.)
12. Finished! You can also decorate with mint leaves. Try eating it piping hot with a little bit of vanilla ice cream. It was a big hit with our family!
