Situada na margem norte do rio Tejo, Vila Nova da BARQUINHA é uma vila e sede de um município, Ribatejano, do distrito de Santarém. A praça de Touros é a segunda mais antiga de Portugal, foi construída no século XIX, no ano de 1853.
As principais festas do concelho normalmente decorrem no mês de junho.
