We solve inverting op-amp exercises that include capacitors by following a dependable four-step workflow. First, simplify the circuit to the classic inverting configuration by collapsing sources and combining series or parallel elements so the network at the input and in feedback is easy to read. Second, compute the input and feedback impedances as functions of s, labeling them Zin and Zf. Third, apply the closed-loop formula H(s) = −Zf/Zin under the usual ideal op-amp assumptions to get the transfer function. Finally, isolate s to identify poles and zeros.
For the integrator and differentiator cases, we simply show how the output relates to the input by applying the transfer function and a basic inverse Laplace step.
0:00 Step 1-Simplify to typical inverting op-amp configuration
1:41 Step 2-Find input and inverting loop Impedance
4:03 Step 3-Apply onto close loop gain formula
5:29 Step 4-Isolate s (frequency)
