Expedition M196 Folge 14 / Episode 14: Glück gehört dazu

Glück gehört manchmal einfach dazu. In Folge 14 der YouTube-Serie über die Expedition M196 wird ein verloren gegangenes Gerät, ein sogenanntes OBEM (Ocean bottom electromagnetic system /Elektromagnetisches System für den Meeresboden) von einem griechischen Fischerboot zur METEOR gebracht. Die Fischer hatten das Gerät an der Meeresoberfläche entdeckt und eingesammelt. Nun fehlt nur noch ein Gerät.
Drückt die Daumen, dass es auch noch rechtzeitig entdeckt wird, bevor die Expedition M198 endet!

Die Expedition M196 findet in Kooperation mit der Universität Malta @universityofmalta, der University of Hawai'i @UHmagazine, dem Bundesamt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) @GeoChannelBGRLBEG, der Universität Patras @UniversityOfPatras, dem HELLENIC CENTRE FOR MARINE RESEARCH (HCMR) @EMBRC und dem GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel statt.

Die Expedition ist Teil des Projekts SMART, einer europäischen Helmholtz-Partnerschaftsinitiative.

Sometimes it's just a matter of luck. In episode 14 of the YouTube series about the M196 expedition, a lost device called an OBEM (ocean bottom electromagnetic system) is brought to the METEOR by a Greek fishing boat. The fishermen had discovered the device on the sea surface and collected it. Now only one device is still missing.
Keep your fingers crossed that it will be discovered in time before the M198 expedition ends!
