Covão d’Ametade is one of the most iconic and beautiful places of Serra da Estrela'. It's located at 1,500m altitude between Cântaro Magro and at the beginning of Vale Glaciar do Zêzere. It's also where Rio Zêzere begins. The most common trees are birches.
