I bought a dirt cheap Mercedes SLK from WeBuyCars — and it came with a list of problems. The roof wasn’t working, the engine light was on, the headliner was sagging, and there was an oil leak. I thought I was in for a world of pain…
But with a few clever checks, some simple tools, and less than R500, I fixed everything!
✅ Roof working again
✅ Check engine light gone
✅ Headliner refreshed (kinda)
✅ Oil leak sorted (maybe)
This might be one of the easiest budget project cars I’ve tackled. Here’s how I did it — and what to look out for if you’re buying one of these!
