A long and quiet bushcraft journey in deep winter, far from roads and noise, in the Nordic wilderness.
On this snowy day, I travel through the forest with my sled, accompanied by my dog, and set up a simple tarp shelter among the trees. A reflector fire is built to keep the cold at bay as daylight slowly fades.
Later, I prepare a humble meal by the fire. Buckwheat cooked with vegetables and sausage, a traditional and nourishing food for cold winter days.
The forest is calm.
The trees creak in the frost.
Snow falls from the branches as the wind moves through the woods.
This film is unhurried and honest.
No talking. No music.
Only fire, snow and the sounds of the winter forest.
