This was quite the brew method. We used the Hario syphon with Blue Bottle on the last video, but this one was a surprise. Much easier to use and a surprisingly great flavor.
Next time we brew with it we will agitate (or stir) the coffee when the water enters the glass. You could clearly see some of the coffee didn't even get saturated. We tried a second brew with a much finer grind and a 14:1 water to coffee ratio instead of the typical 16:1 and that also helped extraction.
The Intelligentsia Coffee in this brew was absolutely amazing. Cheers to a great single origin. It was their Peru El Acerillo single origin, so good. Probably one of our favorite coffees we've tasted from Peru. Intelligentsia Coffee never disappoints.
