I took a chance with this restoration knowing that the engine was seized, and the tractor had not run in over 30 years. The tractor appeared to be in pretty good shape given its age although it was missing several key components such as the carburetor, magneto and generator. Going into this restoration, I knew that I wanted to tackle this head on and attempt all aspects of the restoration myself from mechanical work to the finish work. This required an investment in tools, hours of research and networking to learn and then apply skills and knowledge gained to achieve a beautifully restored tractor. The restoration came with its fair share of challenges and hurdles that I had to navigate from extreme weather conditions to injuries to mechanical failures. All of this I was able to overcome and ultimately restored a beautiful Johnny Popper. I learned to persevere and push myself to learn and achieve new things. I am grateful to all those who helped me in the process!
