Full Speech: Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Reveals Pak’s fake Narrative | Op Sindoor

n a powerful address at IIT Madras on August 9, 2025, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi exposed Pakistan’s narrative manipulation tactics following India’s decisive Operation Sindoor. He highlighted how Pakistan portrayed its military setbacks as victories, citing the promotion of their Army Chief, General Asim Munir, to field marshal as a false indicator of success. General Dwivedi remarked, “If you ask a Pakistani whether they lost or won, they’d say, ‘Our chief has become a field marshal. We must have won, that’s why he became the field marshal.’”

The speech detailed the strategic execution of Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, 2025, in response to the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives. General Dwivedi emphasized the operation’s success in targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists with zero collateral damage. He likened the operation to a chess game, describing it as a “grey zone” mission with unpredictable moves, ultimately delivering a checkmate to Pakistan’s terror infrastructure.

General Dwivedi also praised the Indian government’s “free hand” approach, recalling Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s directive of “enough is enough” on April 23, 2025, which empowered the armed forces to act decisively. He underscored the importance of strategic messaging, noting India’s “justice done” campaign, crafted by a Lieutenant Colonel and an NCO, which resonated globally. The speech highlighted India’s military transformation, including the establishment of ‘Rudra’ brigades, ‘Bhairav’ commando units, and drone-equipped infantry, reinforcing India’s resolve to counter terrorism and safeguard sovereignty.
